When cultures and couples come together under the California sky, you know it’s going to be magic. That’s exactly what unfolded at Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo. The two drew on their Jewish-Armenian traditions, modern style, and jaw-dropping florals to create a day that felt equally timeless and dynamic.
As Southern California wedding photographers and filmmakers (and a husband-and-wife team, which means we finish each other’s sandwiches and sentences), we get the privilege of stepping into these love stories with fresh eyes. And this one? It had everything: bold details, poignant moments, playful energy, and a backdrop that practically begged us to click that shutter and press “record.”

Spanish Hills Club is more than a wedding venue — it’s a stage with all the right lighting cues. Perched above Camarillo, the hilltop golf course is known for its sweeping mountain views, lush lawns, and that unbeatable Southern California golden hour. For couples who want to celebrate cultural traditions in a way that feels elevated yet approachable, it’s a dream.
Outdoors, the ceremony lawn gave the couple’s vows room to breathe, with open skies and soft, glowing light framing the moment when the groom broke the glass — a nod to Jewish tradition that echoed with applause and laughter. Indoors, the ballroom transformed into a dance floor made for Armenian line dances, Jewish wedding spins, and all the joyful chaos you could hope for. Spanish Hills handled the transitions with ease, so guests never felt shuffled — just swept along for the ride.

Let’s talk about those florals. Imagine a world of white blooms — an exotic mix of orchids, roses, calla lilies, and white dahlias— layered with trailing greenery that spilled off tables and cascaded from the ceiling like something out of a dream sequence. The effect was both crisp and romantic: elegant white with just enough untamed green to feel alive and fresh. We’re in love with Primrose and Petals’ work!
The black accents tied everything together, grounding the palette in modern sophistication. And then came the groom’s dark green tux — a look that was bold, unexpected, and incredibly photogenic. Against the soft whites and lush greens, he stood out like a modern classic, harmonizing perfectly with the overall design and allowing his bride to shine.
For us, details like these aren’t just pretty — they’re story anchors. A white floral arch can frame a kiss, a spray of greenery can soften a candid laugh, and a perfectly cut tux can make a portrait sing. The goal here isn’t Instagram perfection; it’s a way to infuse beauty and personalized details to accentuate your story.

What made this wedding so special was its balance of honoring heritage while embracing a modern vibe. The couple chose the traditions that resonated most with them and their families — and they did them with gusto.
At the outdoor ceremony, the glass-breaking moment landed with the kind of joyous energy that ripples through a crowd. Later, in the ballroom, guests linked arms for Armenian dances, circled up for Jewish ones, and filled the room with music and laughter that felt centuries old and brand-new all at once.
From a photographer’s perspective, these moments are electric. They’re not posed, they’re not rehearsed — they’re pure energy, movement, and connection. Our cameras got a workout, and we loved every second.

Cultural weddings often bring layers of tradition, music, and movement, and not every venue can hold that kind of energy gracefully. Spanish Hills did more than hold it — it elevated it.
For couples blending traditions, this kind of flexibility is priceless.

As wedding photographers and filmmakers, we live for that intersection of elegance and play. A quiet tear as vows are exchanged? We’ll be there. A guest mid-spin, hair flying, grin wide enough to light the room? We’ll get that too.
This wedding gave us both—moments of stillness framed by florals and light, and bursts of unfiltered joy on the dance floor. Our job is to hold both kinds of moments with equal care, because together they tell the whole story.
We like to say we’re not just documenting — we’re translating. Taking the feeling of the day and giving it back to you in images that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe even dance a little in your kitchen years from now.

If you’re blending cultural traditions into your wedding, here’s what we learned (and what we recommend):
Make sure it can handle both outdoor ceremonies and indoor dance floors with ease.
Traditions like circle dances need space — and trust us, you’ll want that wide-angle shot.
Traditions often take longer than expected (in the best way). Give yourself breathing room so nothing feels rushed.
You don’t need every tradition. Pick the ones that feel meaningful and celebrate them fully.
You want someone who knows when to step back and let the moment breathe — and when to jump in and catch it before it flies by.

At the end of the night, what stood out wasn’t just the breathtaking florals, the elegant design, or even the golden-hour portraits (though those were all unforgettable). It was the way this wedding felt like a bridge — between cultures, between families, between tradition and modernity.
Spanish Hills gave it the perfect stage. The couple gave it heart. And we got to be there, cameras in hand, capturing it all.
For any couple dreaming of a wedding that honors heritage while feeling boldly, beautifully you — consider this your inspiration. And if you’re looking for a photo + video team who knows how to balance tradition with laughter and elegance with play… well, you know where to find us.
